| This early heavy copper sauce pot with steel handle is marked ‘Chevet’ and from La Maison Chevet at Palais-Royal, the famous 19th century Parisian restaurant. It was as renowned then as a traiteur to the aristocracy of Europe. In 1878 Auguste Escoffier was appointed general manager at Maison Chevet. This pot has been recently professional cleaned and re-tinned ready for use. We are always on the lookout for good quality inscribed copper saucepans and implements. |
