THE ART OF WINE & FOOD
dealing in wine & food-related antiques & curiosities
The Art of Wine & Food is about passion - that of John Cunnington the proprietor for gastronomy.

From a corkscrew collection, a knowledge of wine history, a degree in viticulture, and a passion for wine and food-related objects, the business has become a world-leader in its field.
Gastronomic objects are rare and sought by collectors worldwide. Dealers in old prints in France will tell you there is nothing available. The truth is that images are set aside for their specialist collectors, or overseas dealers. Our truffle-related, absinthe, or foie gras material is sourced in this way.

Old drinking glasses and champagne flutes are a feature, whilst the selection of tastevins gives discerning collectors a choice of styles, region and rarity. Absinthe glasses and related items are another specialty.

On our website you will find our continually updated Objects for Sale.

Here you will see the 19th century duck press we sold identical to that used at La Tour d'Argent, or copper saucepans  dated to the 19th century. Winemakers are fascinated by the equipment and paraphernalia from the time of Louis Pasteur's 1866 treatise Etudes sur le Vin.

The Art of Wine & Food is by appointment only and is located in Banksmeadow 10 minutes from Kingsford Smith Airport and just 20 minutes from Sydney’s CBD.
